PLC Analog Recorder - Real-Time Historical Data Logging for Process Monitoring

The Analog Recorder, developed by Brigger & Associates, is a Windows based PC application that reads the current values of PLC analog values, such as temperature, flow, pressure, the result of a calculation, etc.

As the data is read it is logged to a database. The data can be displayed as it is read, providing a real time trend. The logged data can be displayed at any time.

The Analog Recorder has the following features:

◾ The analog points to be logged can be from multiple PLC's.

◾ The logged values are stored for an operator specified time.

◾ Up to 6 points of those read can be plotted at the same time, each in a separate color and a separate scale.

◾ The time scale for a plot is operator selectable: 30 minutes; 1,4, 8 or 24 hours.

◾ The vertical and horizontal sliders (shown in yellow above) can be used to display the value of any point on a curve.

◾ The logged values can be exported to a text file.

◾The cost of the Analog Recorder is $1,200 excluding any required taxes.

The Analog Recorder is currently available for Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and Siemens S7 300/400 and S7 1200/1400 PLC's.

It will work with other PLC's but will requirePLC driver software driver for an additional cost.


◾The Analog Recorder is delivered on a USB flash drive along with with installation and user’s manuals.
